poundy im looking to change the angle eye headlights that i currently have as they are totaly shit, cant see anything at night.they already have 55w bulbs in. can anything be done to upgrade them, or whats the best alternative in new complete units?
guy_27 Decent hid kit. I ordered a hid kit from a member on another forum that sells heaps. Needless to say the quality was poor especially for the price paid. They are not as bright as other hids I've seen in the same setup. The ones I ordered were 6000k but next set of bulbs will be 5000k.
astra22bertoneauto I have the 35w 4300k HID's in my angel eyes which are excellent. You can also get 55w HID kits now......

pottsey ahh yours are the ultra ones then not sure on the difference between h1 and h7,i do know that h7 is the normal bulb fitment for the vectra ,so i would imagine yours are h7 ,i would double check to be certain though

pottsey yeah hid for the headlight, normal for the main beam,i presume your headlight is h1 and main beam is h7

astra22bertoneauto Basically you order as if you was ordering standard bulb fitments. Difference is you get a Hid bulb on that fitment. Some aftermarket headlights take H1 and others take H7 for the main beam. My old angel eyes take H1 but my new ones take H7 fitment.
gazzyd If you go for 6000k they are pritty much white the higher the number the more blue you get. Heres the difference in the bulbs It all depends on the light housing i have H7's in My Passat and in the Coup my high beam is also H7 hope this helps you 🙂
