1k budget what to do to get mist bhp ?

Hi all

Well after looking over the engine of my new astra coupe se2 it looks all standard so im wanting to start on the road to get some more bhp ?
as the title have a budget of about 1k to start so where and whats the best to start with ?

i have ordered a pannel filter and will do airbox mods when it arrives also will remove pre-cat at same time but what to do after ?

i had a z22se before but have no idea what i did to get more bhp dunno.. notsure.gif :oops:

any help would be good cheers

A good 2.5" exhaust system including a downpipe and 200cpi sport cat.

Could also look at Piper regrind cams and a 2.5" catback system with 200cpi sport cat?

also does anyone know of any body who could port and polish a throttle body for me ? and is it worth doing at all ?
