Engine problem

Guys,

I have Opel Vectra 2002 with Z22SE engine and automatic gear box on 144500km. It was working perfectly just a week ago. It starts losing power when pressing the accelerator pedal and engine stop working. I moved to Opel garage (the one in the region servicing the car for years) but they still can’t fix it. They ordered and replaced the injection control unit or block, but the problem persists. The engine starts very difficult (2 or 3rd attempt) and then even without driving stops intermittently. Recently the fuel pump, spark plugs and battery were replaced, plus this control unit (for which they said it cost 950 euros...).

I need help guys! Please send me any suggestions or post to read, etc. for the similar problem. Thank you in advance.

have they checked the fuel filter and injectors dunno..

Finally the car was repaired... They (Opel garage) said that reprogramming of the injection control unit was the problem. I paid 950 euros for all this. Because I did not trust to much those guys, I decided to get back the "broken" control unit. Will see what to do with it later.
Any idea where I can get the schematic doc of it? Or can it be tested without plugging back to the car? Cheers.
