I've just been told my car is running lean and I should not drive it from a lad on VXR online. I need to look into that for sure, I don't want nothing to happen

Just looked at alys stage one map plot, which was done on a dastek dyno, and comparing them, your afr is alot diff to hers... you seem to have a dip in ure torque just b4 3000rpm which is where ure afr falls off the bottom.. heres afew pics of alys plot...

What could cause that Daz? The operator never spoke to me after my run, he just went and grabbed the next car.

Could be numerous things mark....map may not be suited to ure car, lambda sensor could be faulty, airflow meter faulty, The chap shud have really talked you through the results and pointed out any issues...

I always thought that was the point in having the car on the rollers, to make sure everything is looking OK, not just what power it's putting out.

Same here, I knew this place tested the AFR and boost figures. If it was not running right they should have had a word with me. Or was my graph ok in his mind? My car ran ok the first run, but the second run I had a spike in the graph. I think thats when my car hit over 20PSI and it knocked my readings out dunno.. . I think I will buy 2 new 02 sensors this week, as I read on a forum that if your car is running rich it will produce soot through the exhaust alot more if the 02 sensors are fooked. The tip on my exhaust is always going black with soot

Am I right in thinking my car ran lean only the once and is not running lean all the time? I am going to buy an AFR gauge this next week or so, so I can keep an eye on things.
