Locking the Vectra

When i lock the vectra, it locks fine, and then when i press lock again, it makes a noise like its locking again.

What does this do? Someone said something about deadlocking?

What does this mean?

As it suggests m8,its deadlocking,cant open it from the outside or inside unless u use the remote..
Always do mine..

So good idea to use it then, but nackered if you lose the key fob and dont have a spare??

YUp.lock ure car with the remote twice and see if u can unlock with the key..

Also while im on this subject, one of my keys is fucked, i got a replacement battery in it cause it just stopped working (couldnt open/lock the car with the keyfob), and it still didnt do it, so have had to go back to the older one of the two.

Anyone know how much its costs for a new keyfob/key or whatever?

You will be able to open it with the key no problem with your dealocks being on. You can turn your key in the lock twice to deadlock it also 🙂. If you have the windows down on the front you can hold the key in the lock possision and the windows will wind up for you 🙂

Yeah found the window crack out when i was playing around, lol, thought i had fucked it at first though, lol.

Lol, well you key acts as a deadlock also just by turning it twice, you should hear the deadlock noise when doing this. Most people just use the remote

Yes. Put your key in the ignition, turn your ignition lights on and as then turn on press the key fob. The doors on the car should lock and open. Your remote has not been set back up again 🙂. So remember turn and press key fob. This should defo work.

did you know that for about £8 on ebay you can get a box that turns your central locking into total closure i.e. deadlock the car with the remote and all windows and sunroof shut
takes only 10 mins to fit with no soldering
done it to my vec very flash yet cheap 😃
