handed my notice in

been round to the bosses house earlier and gone through writing my letter of notice .dated it for this friday ,so ive give them a weeks notice to claim redundancy.
been in the same job for 23 yrs doing flat roofing,but since april we have been on and off at work ,but over the last month i have had less than 50% of wages ,luckily ive managed to find work elsewhere in between .
on the plus side i have another full time job lined up straight away doing the same thing ,in fact im there this week
also the redundancy payment will help me get the supercharger conversion done quicker 😃

cheers guys ,i'll be using this job as a stepping stone ,as ive also had another job offered to me working for a mate of mine installing wood burning stoves ,hes just waiting for his dad to retire and i'll be there .

i'll also be having a weeks holiday somewhere ,as ive not had a holiday for 5 yrs ,nothing abroad just a week away somewhere relaxing

cheers nige ,yeah jobs do seem to be hard to come by ,but i think im fortunate that ive got this other job ,plus my mate has offered me a job doing the woodburning stoves,also another place where ive been helping out odd days has hinted that hes looking for someone more permanant as a memorial mason ,headstones etc ,plus ive been helping another mate out doing roofing :crazy:

Back to kitchen designing for a little bit but have been told there planning to promote me to assistant manager in a few months just been out for a couple pints with the recruitment guys who found me and sounds to be a good move in terms of progression showo.. lots of new jobs opening up and a lot of money to be made :thumbup:
