After much fighting with my Vectra SRi 150, it finally gave me some symptoms I could work with - mostly cutting out, giving no live diags, dropping to 2 pots etc. I got hold of a (hopefully) full set - ECU, Locking ECU, Ignition transponder, 2 fobs and 2 chips.
Fitted the whole lot, reconnected the power, and off it went. Starts and runs fine, no EML, no codes (tried with Gendan Vauxcheck as well - nothing doing), only 2 problems -
It locks fine with the fob, but doesn't seem to deadlock, and when I unlock it, a siren goes off. It's not the horn (so it's not the same sounder as the theft alarm), it a wailing, damned annoying siren. Putting the key in and turning makes no difference (it will run), nor do the fob buttons. The only way I can find to stop the siren is to disconnect the battery.
Any ideas gratefully recieved!
I actually replaced this car 'cos I was so fed up with it, but I can't find 'owt I want to drive more, so I'm going back to it. You'd think it'd be grateful...
