Zafira wont start after head overhaul

Hello all

1st post on this forum hope you can help , I have just had a camchain failure on the wifes Zafira , replaced all the damge thanks to mr Haynes and some of the good data on this site but now she wont start ..

Fuel pump is working lots of pressure in the rail, compression OK , no spark (I even resorted to the can of easy start to prove to myself ) all connectors are plugged in and rechecked , no additional warning lights on dash

The car has been stripped down for a couple of weeks and some of the data on this site seems to suggest that the ecu forgets itself if off the car for a while .

Any advise gratefully accepted

no spark could be you have missed the earth off the cam cover

All sorted , it was the crank sensor . I remeber pulling the wires quite hard when pulling out the inlet manifold ( tie wrapped to bottom of the manifold -- great idea !!) . Soldered up the crank sesnor and ditched the Delphi connector and fired first turn .
