Are they worth it? notsure.gif . If so what one should I get for my 2.0 Turbo Sri Mk5 Astra? I am going to order my BSR stage 1 this week if all goes to plan, then it should be fitted next week. I was just wondering if a panel filter is worth the money or not dunno..

I've always had them Mark. I've currently got an ITG fitted to the VXR.

Thats what I want to know, do they make any difference. Are they better than a standard filter? I was looking at the ITG ones Matt. Cheers

They have a bit better air flow but it's not much at all

Well I have just won an ITG filter for an Astra 2.0 for £10.50 brand new in the box ITG WB-607 :razz: . Just bought it on Ebay

That's a bargain Mark. ITG brand new are usually around £60

Matt, how do these work? Will I have to oil it up with spray before you fit it?

The ITG ones normally come pre-oiled. I've not had to clean/re-oil mine in the 2 years it's been fitted so far.

Good, happy with that. I have never owned a performance air filter before. It's my first one, just hope it's worth it and it does not make my car play up lol

People keep saying they can kill MAF's, but that is normally when they over oil them (and I mean totally saturate them)

Mark i am suprised you went with BSR again after you bought on for the Vec and once assigned to the car you can not chnage it or trade it in.

I am sure they are good but if i bought i mapping device i would want it to be future proof so it can be re-opened and used on other cars.

My friend had the Bluefin device same device and has used it on three cars now each time now. Costs around £180 to have new map for the new car rather than the £500+.

I am only going with BSR mate as they offer the best gains and the map was great on my Vectra, no issues at all. I don't know much about Bluefin. I might have a look on the site now but the BSR map is paid for.
