Is 15000 alot

Is 15000 miles alot to have on my 11 Reg Transit pickup? I just noticed it's due for it's first service at 15000 and it turned that today when I was out in it. I have had the van from new, I do a fair bit of traveling :buffer

No, the first three years of any vehicles life is when the most mileage is clocked up, then it tails off when sold for a newer vehicle. 15000 miles on a transit is nothing, but keep the oil changed regular and all should be well.

I run a 190 tipper, 1998 S plate with 116000 on the clock and is still going strong, i change the oil twice a year and all filters once per year. I know these old work horses go forever and are the prefered choice over the next generation Transit, I cant comment on the new one you drive, but time will only tell on the reliability. :thumbup:

I used to have a Merc before the Ford, the merc was better in ways like storage and it was faster than my Transit pickup. I still like the Transit, it's comfy and takes plenty weight 🙂. I think I have topped it up with oil about 3 times so far, it uses more oil than my merc did. It's a good work horse, my merc never had twin rear wheels like my new transit :razz:
