Some pictures of my fantastic cams i bought from atomx, i didn´t even know they were going to be second hand, delivery went wrong the first time and i only had to sent 10 mails and wait about a month before he would even answer me( even had to contact vocky to get an answer from atomx).
I am getting my engine completly rebuild, no way i am putting these cams in ......

i take it you paid for these to be delivered to Belgium ?

paid £300 for them, so £30 for the transport to belgium.

to be fair to atom x he rarely checks the forum these days.
i would imagine there might be some signs of wear as they are re-ground, and the heat treated outer crust of them will only be so thick, and i very much doubt piper go to the trouble of re-hardening them/ rockwell testing them.

Actually he didn´t answer me becquase he had bad experiences with people saying the didn´t receive there package notsure.gif
Aniway i don´t care about that , my problem now is that i didn´t know i was buying second hand cam´s and i don´t want cams in this condition to go into a cylinder head that costed me allot of money to be ported ...
If they run into the cylinder head ( don´t know if you say it like this in english ) i can throw it away, that´s what´s bothering me.

Just one final respons:
atomx his final answer was that he wouldnt refund me, after that he didn't replyed to me...
Ask vocky, with the delivery problems i waited for 20 days and still didn't post anything here, with the cam's that were in bad condition i also started with a pm, but he won't do anything about it, i personally think that is more then enough respect from my side and about nothing from his side ....

Not to start an argument on the board, i also beleive in solving argument's by pm's, but i already tried that, posting something here was the last option i had.

I agree with Si. Whilst they do look dirty, from the pictures you posted i cant see any chips/fractures from the edges. It is also HIGHLY unusual for AtomX to supply something which is not fit for the purpose. Also to be fair to AtomX; he does make mistakes (after all we are all human) but he does rectify those mistakes.

I also understand you didnt realise you were buying secondhand ones. As an example i paid almost £500 for my New CompCams from the USA.

I recommend you give them a good clean, inspect the edges for damage and post some more pictures on here if you wish. :thumbup:

i do see what you mean the oil channel hole looks very worn, and understand your concern.
and i wish you the best of luck resolving the situation.
however piper's are regrinds therefore by definition are used. :thumbdown:
