hello all .. my flexi on my cat seems to have a really bad vibration ... also certain revs i can feel it threw the car ..

centre and back box were replaced .. also i had the cat of and no signs or holes etc .. also car dosnt seem to have the same pulling power
..

It could also be the Pre-Cat has broken up and fallen down which partially blocks the sensor/cat. You may or may not get an EML light on the dash.

pre cat already gone ... and no eml

The cat can break away from the outer body. It happened to mine.

if the flexi was shot then you would hear it like a tank on revs

fudged cat then you would notice performance

on the astra's there is a lot more exhaust sound - resonance most likely due to the flexi being higher up the downpipe compared to the vectra B also the fact it is a smaller car

hate to say this but on mine i whacked on a kwik fit centre section to replace oe part and the car pulls and sounds so much better :oops: :oops:

yeah its a motor factor centre and rear .. but the vibration is on the flexi .. and going threw the entire exhuast on revs or driving ...

looking under the car the flexi is vibrating really bad .. i checked the honeycomb on my cat and was intact ...

the outer sheild of the flexi is worn exposing the steel ..

my car i would say hasnt lost that much power for it to be a blocked cat .. or collaped etc ... just seems to lack mid range punch ..

just need to find out why the flexi is ratttling ..

and are the astra and zaf cat not the same ?
