Vectra 2.2 Elite Engine oil

Hi guys

First post so bear with me. Sorry if posted in wrong section.
I have 52 plate vectra elite 2.2 recently been converted onto lpg. I have been to latvia did arround 4500 miles no problem.
Did lpg convertion while I was there as it only cost me £600 and works great. All I did before going is changed all filters and oil. I understand these engines use 1 litre of oil for 1000 miles so did few top ups.
Since i am back one day i check the oil i saw milky stuff on dip stick and in the oil.

Is that water in oil. There is no overheating or lose of water.

Secondly its got 111000 miles on should i get the timming belt changed. It is not rattling yet.

Any comments advice will be much appreciated.

With the mileage you have just covered no mayonaise / milky white stuff should be in the oil. Have you checked the oil filler cap for traces and also check inside the expansion header tank for the same oil mixing with water and vice versa.
Could be impending head gasket failure or something to do with the new gas conversion you have had done notsure.gif

As for engine using oil i have never topped mine up from oil change to oil change, never uses oil so again something going on there, i suspect?

well mate I am really pleased the car. If it is something to do with head gasket how much will it cost me to get it done. Any ideas. notsure.gif

Could just be condensation if you do lots of short trips, take it for a long run and see whether its still there

elring head gasket set £50 and 4 hours labour
£10 for head bolts

also do a compression test ..

@ Jwalker. You are right all we use the car for is get to and from work around doing total of 10 miles each time.

@coline Excuse my stupidity but how can I do the compression test and what am I looking for.

Also why is it drinking so much oil???
