I crashed the Zafira this afternoon. M4 J24 South Wales about 2 minutes from Daz. I was on my way to see him as we've been having electrical issues with the car and Daz was going to fix it for me but I went I proper broke it on the way.
I was driving along a stretch of m-way that had a 50mph restiction in place. All was well and then all of a sudden everything came to a stop. The car in front was a Volvo V70 estate. The family were on their holiday to Pembrokeshire. Loaded with luggage and 3 bikes on the rear carrier. No light board and the bikes obscuring the rear lights. Luckily I wasn't going that fast as traffic was backing up. The airbags didn't go off either. According to the insurance company this is a good thing as it proves that I was driving less than 34mph. They are designed to go off over 34mph. Never knew that.
The bonnet is bent, the slam panel, impact bar, bumper, rad and aircon rad and both headlights are wobbly.
The Volvo suffered a smashed rear window, 3 bent mountain bikes and damage to tailgate and bumper.
Feeling a little pissed off right now.
