car cut out?!

Hey all. Yesterday I fit the standard airbox back on my coupe,derestricted of course,also a new coolant temp sensor,reset the ecu and left it. Took out for spin today and must say seems to have decreased the major flatspot I had before but upon slowing down for a roundabout,the car cut out,battery light came on briefly and as I rolled over to side of road to investigate the engine jumped back into life!? Bit strange so can anyone shed any light as to what you think may have happened or if anyone's had similar incidents? Cheers guys

Not a lot to go on - it could be several things. But I'm working on one atm which is doing the same. Opcom tells me the fuel pump relay is randomly going inactive. What I don't yet know (tomorrow's job) is if it's the relay itself or the crankshaft sensor.

Was thinking along the lines of dodgy crankshaft sensor at first,trouble is it has never cut out before I changed those few bits and took battery off for ecu reset. Well since then,touch wood ,hasn't cut out. Tho I was reading somewhere on here about not taking revs past 3000 after a reset for so many miles,I didn't know this before I took it out for a drive and the cut out did happen at the end of a dual carraigeway I was travelling down....I'm thinking I would have been over 3000rpm at that point just before the engine died on me!
