Water pressure issue

It is Matt, my rad is set up different to yours. Well the pipes are. You have two metal pipes running across the front of your engine bay, I only have one. I rigged mine up the same as a VXR

Ures is probalby piped up like the let mark.....the vxr was plumbed in different....

Mine should be the same as yours Daz. I took my front bumper off the other day and it's different to the VXR. My intercooler is right at the front, the VXR one is in the middle of the rad and aircon. So they are different in ways. My rads and cooler look the same as a mk4 GSi, same place

Makes sense now. People change the water pipework on the LET/LER when they change to a VXR Turbo.

This is my car when I removed the front bumper. Will make fitting a new intercooler alot more easier 8)

Should the water pipes be hard when the car has been running a journey? I just gave them a quick squeeze and they feel presured up a bit. notsure.gif . I just took the water bottle cap off and it had a little pressure it it, it gave out a big hiss then all was calm. Well infact, the water level in the bottle sat at the right line, when I took the cap off the water level has risen above the line. I have too much water in now notsure.gif

Yes the hoses will be firm under pressure and after a long drive, removing the cap will release the pressure and hoses will go soft again. Water will be above the line when hot due to expansion, leave to cool over night and you will see the correct level in the morning.
