Head removal.

Removing the head off my vectra today and I've got stuck. Have removed everything I think. Got the Head bolts out, manifold off, inlet off, engine mount off, chains off the sprockets, tensioner removed. Just can't get the head to pop off.

What am I missing? Any pointers?

it does need a good shove to remove it mate

did you get the two e torx bolts inside the chain area one each side .. also the top chain guide bolt on the inlet

I've removed all the bolts on chain side of the engine to remove the cover. Are these 2 located in amongst the chains ?

I've got the Inlet hanging loose.

Theres two smaller head bolts on the outside timing side of the head and 2 in the top one at the front of the engine and one at the back.

this is a pdf on remeving the head some of its goin a bit too far, but top of page 18 shows all the head bolts so check you got the last 2 timing side.

Or if youve jus took the nuts off the exhaust manifold not the studs are they catching when you try and lift the head maybe?? unlikely i know, hopefully the guide will help ya.

FOUND THEM !! Hidden under the sprockets. 2 wee torex bolts. Head off. Don't fancy putting the chains back on but that can wait.
