Hey all,
Been looking into custom exhausts the past few months, so contacted my insurance company (swiftcover) to be told they will not insure any performance or handling mods. So no custom exhaust or suspension till I change insurer in december as I dont want to waste 8 months no claims and I wouldnt get any premium back.
Anyway I can have cosmetic mods like changing the tips as im fitting a vxr rear valance and the sri tips just dont fill the holes lol.
I went to a rolling road meet today and a guy mentioned about removing the middle section box from my exhaust to give the car a bit of a grunt. I have the twin exit exhaust and as far as I know it has pre-cat, cat, centre box then 2 backboxes.
So would removing the centre box and replacing it for a straight pipe cause any damage? or will it just give me a little more grunt. Dont want to risk causing damage for the sake of a little noise when I hit the noise pedal lol. I thought you guys would know better then most as you are the 2.2 guru's.
Cheers peeps
