So i've been thinking for the last few weeks that i want a change of car , im either looking for economy .....or go back to the best which ended up with me wrapped round a tree notsure.gif

Either route its going to be Grey and will look like a Cupra R ,bit miffed that i've sold all my spares .... including the spare set of cupra R alloys i had :wtf: (my winter alloys that i didnt have fitted before winter started)

My car has been loosing coolant and has been a bit ropey so thinking about sell it for spares (with all my spares and parts ,my spare alloys ,sebring exhaust , remus center tube (i memory serves) and loads of spare kit ... a good fair few hundred quid's worth of extras) as it needs a new cylinder head idealy as cylinder 4 has a crack on the spark plug well 🙁
i would repair it myself but i either want more power or to save fuel

Whats everyones opinion ??

Diesel route is definately the winner for me. You can have the looks and a heavy amount of torque on tap with dirt cheap running costs. The petrol variety is rather high on the tax at £260 for 12 months. Tuning of the petrol engine will return big power. TBH, i'm with the oil burner.

That Cupra is stunning. I've been out in my friends as work (20V Turbo), and it's a lot better than any MK4 Astra I've been in.

As much as i'd love another Cupra , the insurance costs are just stupid (£1200) ,Diesel route seems to be the best cheaper insurance better economy (seems the best idea when saving for a house :crazy: )

Any idea what i could sell my coupe for ??? notsure.gif

I would love the Cupra R but a nice 150 FR with a cupra bodykit will be great cheers..

I would go for Cupra, I've never had a diesel I never will.

I don't know what your budget is, but what about Focus ST?

I would love to buy Focus ST, if everything goes as planed I'll get one next year.

Sadly no 🙁 thats not my old one

Going to look at a 1.9 TDI sx this week , low insurance and great economy , if its any good its going to receive a cupra R bodykit

I'm not that worried about dropping power at the moment as I have the use of my dads Saab 9-3 . Money saving is the way forward for me for the moment .

Had a look at this (1.9 tdi had bloody sold ) 1.6 sx leon , brakes were the lowest I've ever seen ,walked away as soon as I turned it over , had only done 58k .... Sounded like a heap !!!

Is the 1.6SX a petrol model then? That's quite a bit car for a 1.6 petrol IMO.

Yeah petrol , wish i phoned before i left , i can get a Cupra R for £3500 !!!

amount of cars i saw advertised for 2k+ last year that had no tyres or brakes - then u notice the oil and ask yourself why are you bothering

I was trawling autotrader this morning found a 2006 vw golf GT 2.0 tdi for £1900 41k i was a bit shocked so gave the dealer a call and someone had hacked onto there account and started listing cars they didnt even have on there forecourt .

what does everyone think ? 55k £3499 previous Cat c is now been repaired, going to find out tomorrow what had happened to the car.

After go-karting this afternoon i've decided F economy F the more expensive insurance lifes worth living

looks like il just have to work a tiny bit harder to cover the minor difference in insurance every month lol showo..
