Oil leak...

Hopelessness

Tried pedal test as per recommendation on VVOC, the oil can light goes out when you crank it.

The light isn't flashing which I understand means it's not an immobiliser issue.

I'm pretty clueless.

Tried that.

I've also checked the connection to the lambda and tried starting it with the MAF disconnected. It's still just cranking and I don't want to run my battery down.

I've got to get it started by tomorrow!

Just tested for a spark by putting a plug in the coil pack, and resting it on the rocker cover to see if there was a spark, but there wasn't.

Other than the ignition pack, what could I look for?

The crank sensor is also in the corner behind the starter so are you sure you didnt unplug that as it will stop the car from running. Deffo sounds like you have either left it unplugged or fitted the wrong part.

Crank sensor seems to be plugged in fine. The new oil pressure switch was identical to the old one, and as I said it worked unplugged before but won't work with it unplugged now.

It's starting to look like something I can't sort myself, so does anybody have any suggestions? I can't see a garage finding the fault particularly fast, so won't I end up paying a fortune!?
