Hi Ya,

My saga goes on,.

Bought a 2003 Vectra Elite, It did not drive as it should so the dealer did all the chains with new genuine vx kits. Still not right, solid vibration. They checked everything from fuel flow and tech 2. They even had the head off and all was well, So, VX came out to teh car and agreed that everythignwas well.. The issue must be crank related.

So, the dealer just opted to buy a 9000 mile engine.

I have two questions

1) The new engine came from an Auto car. Does this matter?
2) The aircon on my car WORKS, will it continue to work once the change the engine over?

My car is<u> manual</u> and this is the engine they bought (280721957563) from that auction site.

THEY are paying for it............. LOL........... Yes, it's at that price..
I only agreed provided the A/C would still work after!

I've only managed to have the car in my possesion for less than 12 hours. It is still with them.

So, the fact that the new engine was from an Auto car won't matter?
I also thought that the A/C would be "messed" about with when they swap engines???

The auto cars have a drive plate instead of a fly wheel, so all they will do is swap them over...and anything else thats needed they will swap from ure engine....as fot the aircon, they will probs just de-gass it if needed, and then regas afterwards

So, I should (in theory) have nothing to worry about then??

I've paid an arm and a leg for this car to buy it.....
