Birmingham last night was once again a war zone
took me an hour to get inside the town centre to find that it was empty apart from pigs in riot gear on every corner doing nothing
the police put a media block on everything from around 7pm onwards after a major riot kicked off in the bullring however the police were doing very little other than controlling the inner city centre
the action was on the outskirts where richer sounds, tesco express, marks & spencers, hat man, aston university, sack of potatoes pub, barclays bank five ways were looted and trashed
also unmarked police cars were chasing kids around then giving em a beating in full riot gear
police were intent on keeping everything locked up and tight whilst the disturbances moved on to a few miles outside the city centre
100's of teenagers were simply walking around trashing stuff moving into smethwick & winson green
if anything last night was more viscous than the previous night as teenagers and grown men were intent on doing some serious damage
