engine number identification on v5

i have read in numerous posts reference to the engine numbers affected by the poor oil squirt channel for the camchain for pre 2003 motors. i am struggling to identify my engine number because the one listed on my logbook doesnt follow the format of that listed in the epc note about the affected cars, and also because the sticker(!) with the engine number on the side of the engine is obscured by another part.

"Modified timing chain and lubrication nozzle have been introduced in production as of the following engine-No: 11065400 (March 2002)."

is the '110' supplementary to requirements? should i be using the last five digits of the number as the v5 doesnt look like it includes '110'! it also includes three letters at the end of the five digits :thumbup:

Best to replace it anyway mate Vauxhall are known to not tell the truth.

to the left of the cam cover is the engine number. match up the last 6 (i think) digits. the last 5 digits will tell you if your engine is before or after the service info.

BUt a few people on here have said they had old style nozzles fitted to later engines.....
