I recently bought a Vectra 2.2 Elite Hatchback (03, 2003) -- I believe to be the Z22SE engine
When I stest drove the car is vibrated badly but was fireing on all 4's.
The dealership (not vaux) said that they would have this repaired and sorted when I come to collect the car. So, I bought it.
Anyway, they have been battleing with it for about two weeks. Replaced cam chain and balalce chain (with two new kits) which were non vaux, FAI I believe was the make,
Anyway, still running rough after chains were changed (and other bits in the kit).
So, they took it completely to bits again and also they took the cylinder head off too to ensure all was well with valves and was fine.
They put it back together and aparently "realised" that the balance chain was "Too short" as it was still running rough when they put it back together again.
Can this be the case? Balance chain being too short????
I'm not too sure about this story. They said that they have a genuine vaux balance chain on order and should be ready mid next week
Advice on this would be great.
