Z22YH pistons

Hi,

A few questions about Z22YH pistons

Are they cast or forged ?
Are they stronger, are they lighter?
Is the only benefit the C/R raised to 12:1?

If i want to install standard size Z22YH pistons is a flex honing sufficient ?
And how much C/R is too much with stage 1 cams ?
My head is skimmed 1mm. These pistons with a Z20NET head gasket would raise the CR to above 12.5 is it too much (for a NA application ).
(Note that i can modify the ignition timing)

They are much stronger rods than the z22se and will raise the CR :thumbup:

A flex honing will be enough and the extra CR will give good gains with your other mods 😃

ps: Increasing the CR certainly helps to get past 200bhp 8)

I've Eagle rods to install, i just wanted to install stronger pistons at the same time but without removing the block from the car.

Is a flex hone possible with the crank installed (and protected) ?

the z22yh pistons won't fit the z22se rods, the gudgen pin is thicker on the YH so you need to use the YH rods
