bigwaf has been on the forum for several years now ,he dont post a lot i do remember a thread about what 2.2 owners have done to theres iirc he had done some engine mods i think lol.i'll see if i can find the thread

I'm sure the Vectra i'm thinking of was like a metallic brown colour with a GSi front bumper. 2.4 inlet, cams and an impressive RR result IIRC??

think you've got it john, i was PM'ing him for ages a year or more ago now, his was a mica one as well as his 2.2 (or what ever it it) the user name was GSI-AL, he's on there as a GSI owner but secertly has a 2.2 with a list that i'd have as a wish list, he'd never ran it on a rolling road as it was just his little play toy. weirdly he always rated the GSI as the better car tho! dunno..

POTTSEY, just seen a post by SRISTE while i was serching up about GSI-AL and on a thread about 2.2 vs V6's he states even tho a V6 will be quicker passing a 1/4 line he'll would of been then in his 2.2 much quicker so he much be putting something out, could be him dunno..

anyway not sure why i'm chatting on here i should be out there getting alot more done to mine so i can call them a lair! :shh:

i was under the impression that gsi-al had sold his 2.2 ,his 2.2 was a midnight black o2 plate hatch ,and yeah is gsi saloon is persia red.

anyway only 19 days and we'll find out who it is
