Ok so fitted a egr cheater yesterday and everything was going great for about ten min car much more responsive then all of a sudden the managment light came on bottom right of dash board and above 3000 rev it sounded as if something was loose turns out the power steering belt was getting chewed up its still on but not by much question is was the management light caused by the cheeter or the belt ?
might have to take cheater off see if that removes managment light
Also when i fitted the cheater and started the car i got some smoke out the exhaust , never had this before and it died down after a few revs on the drive way , a smell like oil or something was burning , was it just having a clear out , looking at the egr valve i removed looks fine pin moves freely so why dose the cheater make the car feel so diffrent , its like a new car responsive and qick(ish) not like before .
One last thing my heat shields are very loose and rattling , thinking of ripping them off from the middle box and back box , good idea or not ?
