Hope you can help me.
I've just bought a 2.2 Vectra Elite (2003, 03) with a strange fault. I'm not sure on the engine model either!
When you start the car, it idles badly. There is a definate vibration. It vibrates all the way up the revv range. The car has just had anew full timing chain fitted with balance bits.
The car does "drive" ok and has good power BUT this vibration is there until about 50 Mph and its does settle a little bit.
Its almost like your in a too higher gear too early and your working the engine. Thats how it feels but as said it does still have "good power/acceleration."
Could this be down to a badly fitted/timed chain(s)?
Any info would be great.
The independant dealer still has teh car but I wonder what the issue could be?
