HP fuel pump

Hi everyone got a problem with my fuel pump on my 2.2 direct it packs up when it gets hot and I stop for a minute so wont restart until it cools down I think this is a regular problem is there any way around this please

thinking of removing the plastic shroud over the engine to help until I get a new pump or a way round it, can they be refurbished?

Are you sure its the pump and not the regulator mate? VX has a recall for the FPR if you've not had it done.

Autovaux are selling the new Continental pumps at the moment for £240. I'm afraid its the only real fix for the pump unless you've got some engineering skills.

yes was in steallers today had codes done and another new regulator told me pump is the problem cuts out when over heating just cant take the strain when car is shut down for a couple of minutes
