Inlet Air Temp fault code....

Hey guys,just a quick 1.

Got some ongoing problems with my Vec C 2.2 Direct so just trying to rull out possible faults.

Been having a slight running problem at low revs/part throttle and i have been getting a fault code for the IAT sensor.

If this was at fault,what would be the symptoms??And is there any way of checking if its broken??Am i right in saying that it is part of the MAF??

I un-plugged the sensor on the MAF and tried it like that,and the car ran exactly them same with the same problem.

There is a way of checking the out puts on MAF sensors if you do a bit of a google search for it.

If you ran the car with the MAF unplugged and it gave you the same codes its more than likely the MAF at fault.

Check all the wiring to the maf and make sure its all clean inside and if its still giving you the same problems check what voltages your getting from it against what it should be if you can get the information and that'l tell you if its deffinatly fudged.

does the car rev over 3000-4000 ?

Yes Mike,with it plugged in or unplugged,it revs over 4k.

worth buying an original sensor from the dealership cos if it fails again then they should check and replace free of charge
