The chain was revised on the C but can still throw up faults as with any engine. If its the later Vec C with the 2.2 direct engine then you also have to consider Fuel pump and inlet manifold problem. The NET (2.0T) is really the pick of the bunch with pretty much bulletproof reliability. The 2.2 fix for the chain tensioner is the NETs tensioner by the way. The 100 edition is knocking on a bit now, 53 plate I believe, they are stock SRi 2.0T's with limited edition wheels, seats and an Irmscher spoiler. You may fined a normal SRI T with less mileage for the same money as the 100 edition as it doesn't carry the limited edition badge.
Either way the Vec C a heavy car so a little sluggish from the lights but its a fantastic and comfortable motorway car. Twitchy handling is common and usually always comes down to failed rear shocks so easily fixed. Knocking from the front is also common and again is a quick fix with a new set of drop links £15 each.
