Just started a new little project as well as juggling everything else :roll: It a vauxhall tigra 1.6 bermuda. It was the missus car but after the head gasket went she sighned it over to me 😃
Iv got a few pics of the progress so far from yesterday and thought id share it and if anybody else has any experience with the engine feel free to coment.
before removing the head i did a compression test wet and dry to make sure i wasnt off to a false start and all seems good so ill leave the bottom end and concentrate on the head and inlet.
Plans so far are.
Recon ,port and polish and good skim to head.
Inlet plenum chamber to replace wan*y gm inlet.
Wire tuck and pipe tidy up.
Possibly coilovers and banded steelys( ill have a go at banding and see how i get on!)
strip interior and lighten it up a bit.
Mostly being ideas and not sure if im keeping it for myself or giving it back to lu 🙂
Should be fun tho!
I dont own a valve spring compressor so i had to heath robinson one up!!
This inlet will look a bit diffferent soon!
