chopping rear springs

Dont suppose anyone on here had the same idea as me on the vec b,and cut 2 coils off the rear standard springs have they.Reason for asking is,there seems to be a lot of camber now on rear wheels,and so in turn,causing inside tyre wear,so my question is,is there anything i can do to stop it. :crazy:

Hmm, I'd not personally recommend cutting the springs down, especially when you can get aftermarket ones for _£120

Did buy the proper ones matt,but after fittin em,and standing back to admire my handywork,i was very disapointed,it really dident seem any different,considering they were 60mm,so i thought sod this,and out came the grinder :crazy: .Havent had any problems in the past with m.o.t,springs popping out etc,just the tyre wear. :think:

my mate has just had some fitted to his vec ,hes got coilovers on quite low and it was starting to rub the inner edge out ,now these are fitted the wheel is sitting upright now and using the whole of the tyre instead of the inner edge

Have you checked your trailing arm and rose bushes for wear :idea:

Excellent find pottsey :thumbup: ,but when these are fitted,does it make the wheel stick out any further :think:,and as my wheels are in the arches,the top of the tyre sits approx 10mm from the lip,so im thinking,if the wheel camber were straightened up they would rub.
