Recording gameplay with my HD camcorder

I would like to record some of my Call Of Duty videos for Youtube from me playing on my PS3. I plan to do this with my HD camcorder I have just bought, can I record this any better than I am at the moment, as all I am doing is sitting the HD camcorder infront of my TV on a tripod. Can I get a lead from the tv to my camcorder and record that way, or will the way I am doing it be ok? Thanks

Anyone know the correct settings for HD videos to go onto youtube? Still new to all this :razz:

Mark im fairly certain the camcorder is not even needed to capture the images on the PS3. There's an app you can install of the playstation network that enables you to share footage you've captured on youtube.
Only problem is i cant remember what this app is called as i seen my mate do it last weekend.

That doesn't look too bad on full HD Mark, but you can tell it's recorded in front of the TV, and not actually direct off the feed.

I went round to me mates last night and found the name of the software which has been available for a couple of months now and its called Video Editor and Uploader. I was told that this probably wont work with BLOPS but will for newer games as game designers are making the games with this feature enabled.

But as a workaround for BLOPS to be able to record game play, you need to be part of a Playstation community for that game where the game play is stored. This data can then be transferred onto Youtube.
