My bike is going in for the free 6 week service from Halfords tomorrow. I've put 364km on it in just under 6 weeks since buying it.

That's some going Matt. I'm still looking for a new bike. Might have found 1 or 2 now though. I can't make my mind up between a Scott or a Trek?

Both nice bikes but can't make my mind up. I'll be buying it through the bike to work scheme so they take the money out my wages each week.

Fooking hell matt , thats like 220 miles..... thats back and forth my works for a week.....sod that....

What are they charging for a service Matt or is it part of the aftersales? Have you had any issues?

It's free mate. They offer it at 6 weeks on all bikes they sell (apart from the cheap trax ones).

The bike has been great, no problems what so ever with it.

yeah its a good thing they do with the free service (prob one of the only good things halfords do do ...lol) nice milage there matt i do my work most days its a nice 9 mile door to gate but i do a little off road in that as riding along the road is sometimes sooooo boring plus it cuts out a chunk lol as for the servicing , i do my own (my sat job as a lad was at langsetts and i did a stint at james) you need to get yourself a workshop stand and do your own after your free service as it will save a few quid and you get to know your bike better , and the stand makes it easier to clean , i have this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/Raleigh-Folding ... =8-1-spell , there are loads more but i chose on this as it seems one of the more sturdy foldable ones ...

Done a few miles on the bike since getting it back, and it feels much better. Gear change is a lot smoother, and they have sorted the brakes as well, as the front was quite slack.
