Just to add, I was reading something the other day that mentions if you insure your car for being layed up or off the road, you won't accumilate any no claims bonus entitlement? Sounds like money for old rope. Seems the UK's drivers are being fucked up the ass which ever way they turn!

Hopefully it won't apply over here, it seems really stupid though. For example my dad's classic car is tucked away in the garage, now its taxed but not insured as he does not use it on the road. However this new rule he would have to declare it SORN, which would decrease value

But surely for people who do have say a classic car tucked up during the winter months and only drive it a few months of the year, they'd have insurance anyway, because what if the garage was burgled and the car nicked, or it burned to the ground?

i would say in a 'free society' they are forcing you to do things that otherwise you would have a choice about.

for instance my mate is constantly building cars, are they saying that even tho they start out as heaps, he cant keep them in his granddads field without every single one of them being insured? ridiculous.

also when mine was in build it was in a field at the mrs parents are they telling me i should have been paying 500-1000 pounds a year when the only thing it can possibly hurt is grass? again ridiculous,

they need to understand that if someone needs to take thier car off the road its probably because they cant afford the tax and insurance but DONT want to sell thier car.

this country sucks im moving to zimbabwe its gotta be better than our wonderfully corrupt systems? i can handle a physical beating but my wallet wont take much more!

oh and has anyone now heard, what with injury claims pushing our premiums up (because people are being aggresively told to take out claims)
there is one company that is now offering an i pad with every succesfull application?

the government wont crack down on any of these things as they are all cash generation ploys. :evil: rant over....... i think

This subject really gets my goat, why the f*ck should i pay for some other f**ckers mistakes. If you make a claim for personal injury or have an accident in your car, be it your fault or the third party to blame then any subsequent increase in premiums should be directed at the persons who caused the accident. If they cant afford the increase then good, one less arsehole on the road :upyours:
