The water pump on my vectra has sprung a leak and I am losing about an inch of coolant from the header tank every day so I am looking at getting this replaced.
Aside from needing a tool, how bad a job is it and what kind of problems did people come across? I've read on here people saying it's a nightmare but the Haynes book doesn't seem to think it's that difficult - just remove the heatshield from the exhaust manifold, fit the tool, remove the thermostat housing and swap the pump over.
I don't mind having a go, but I don't want to start and end up wishing I hadn't so was after any words of wisdom from people who have done this before.
Thanks
