Thanks vocky for the reply, I did a compresion test today and i get 200 on all 4 so the next thing is to take the lid off tommorow and have a look at the stem seals. It just seems strainge that its smoking at the top end with the oil cap off but nothing at the bottom end. I was just thinking is there a blocked oil way from the head to the sump hense the oil in the head smoking. Its prob a long shot but gotta start somewhere as it seems most ppl on here are looking for an answer to this problem.
I am sure vauxhall didnt build this engine to run or burn oil like this so there has to be an answer to the problem and i wont rest till its sorted. Any other ideas that ppl have had that could be worth a try to sort this please post and lets see what we can get done to sort this out cheers..
