EML light

I've had the EML light on now for some time, this is since having my pre cat removed 5 months ago. I have had this code cleared once before by Tech 2 when i got my timing chain replaced. But on my drive home after it came straight back on as was expected.
I just really want to know if there's a possibility that by just ignoring this EML warning, i might be causing some harm to the engine.

Notes to mention: I do have a blow in my exhaust manifold. I have the replacement part which i intend to get fitte asap. I also may have a knackered cat back but i will have to carry out some checks to confirm this.

Any help would be appreciated guys. 🙂

What exactly is the error code that is coming up?

If it's the one related to the CAT, you could always fit a lambda spacer to keep it from coming back on

if there is any detritus left in the down pipe when this is done it can flow through onto the cat and melt it. :wtf:

I'll check with my OBII reader to find out what code it is Matt. Im hoping tomorrow morning i should have the time to do it.

I hope not and if thats the case then that would be a fault of Powerflows of which i have a warranty on the exhaust work they've carried out.
I'll get them to have or someone else to have a look at it.

As for the sensor spacer, i think i wil need this to elimintate this EML after the repair work.

i only found out they bodged my system when i did my engine swap they downsized the pipe from my centre silencer to the back box and just swelled the ends up!
it was either 1 1/2" or 1 3/4" dia pipe :wtf: i cant remember off hand but it was perfect for my mates corsa! :wtf:

I've let powerflow do all of my exhaust work since i got the car. The first time i went it was to have the centre section replaced, and i had no faults with that. The only let down was they didnt have any warranty cards when i was making the payment to them and they told me that they would send one out to me as soon as they had some more. 6 weeks i was still waiting on it being sent but it never arrived.
Then the next time i went to them for the front section to be replaced, i told them i was unhappy about this and surprisingly they actually signed the warranty card and covered the centre section too

A full piper exhaust system is what i'm after though.
