Hi all, thought i would finally join here after using the site and the knowledge for over a year!!
Originally from the UK but moved to Australia in 2009. Needed a car for work so got myself another Astra! Had a Coupe Turbo before leaving the UK (wish i had imported it!!), saw this low mileage 2002 Astra TS (G) 2.2 SRi going pretty cheap so i drove it, loved it and bought it!! I have had a 2.2 SRi before in the UK as a hire car but this one seems much better than i remember??
Anyway, it's pretty standard at the minute and to be honest will probably stay that way for some time. I have put an induction kit on (purely because i like the noise!!) and the plan is to do the precat next, well when i get it back from Holden!! It has gone in for the inevitable timing and balancer chain work!! Costing me $2000 (about £1300!!!) bloody expensive i think!! Should have bought a Commodore SV6, like rocking horse shit and cheap to fix!!!
Not sure if there are any other "Aussies" on here around the Gold Coast or Brissy area??
Doing some interior centre console mods at the minute so i'll get some pics up when i eventually get around to finishing it!!!
