I've seen this mod on a few Vectras over on VVOC lately. The Vectra CDX came fitted as standard with rear door edge rubber seals to aid quieten road noise and stop so much dirt and grime getting in the door shuts.
A set came up for sale on VVOC last week from the same chap that I got my new upper and lower irmscher grilles from. The seals were £12 posted so it was a bargain that had to be had.
They came today so got on with fitting them tonight after tea. The scary bit is having to drill 9 holes in each door and trying not to go through too far! :o
There are 9 dimples in the edge of the door so you know where to drill them. I started the hole with a 2,5mm pilot hole and then went out to 4mm finished size. Deburr the holes and then a dab of silicone sealant on each hole position. After that its a case of lining up the plastic rivet and push home. A gentle tap was required on a couple with a hammer.
All fitted and a wipe over with AutoGlym rubber care. Pics below.....
