ZippyZafira Hi there Im hoping someone can help me with this. I read on here somewhere that you can modify your old oil jet instead of buying a new one. My question is. is this possible?? if so how do i do it and does anyone have any pictures?
cavaddict On the old jet it has a brass liner inside which you may be able to drill out....just dont drill too deep or you'll go straight through. Much easier & safer to get a new jet really.
cavaddict Well it can...but it would be better to fit one that has the bigger inlet hole in it really. Bit like, you can use the old style tensioner...but why would you when there is a better altenative dunno..
vocky in my experience the guides go brittle and break up with age, just modifying the oil jet will not stop the chain from snapping when the guides fail, just bite the bullet and fit a new chain kit and then you can stop worrying
