Yes, I know! There's a million threads on this but I'd like to confirm the process of elimination before jumping to the conclusion the I need a new chain kit and another trip to telford. I'm pretty sure it's not a manifold gasket issue as I've had that done within the last 7k but, what are the other possible causes?
Mine is a 53 plate Astra 2.2, only 38k on the clock so plenty of life left. When I bought the car, I took it to Benny to for a check over and we were both pleased to see that it was late of the press and factory fitted with the upgraded oil jets etc so, no need to worry.
It's been a while since it's last service so there's my first point of call! A good oil flush and filter change.
However, if I decide I want to take it back to Benny for another look, what "vitals" do I need to check to make sure it's safe for the long journey?
