Gasket Sets

Hi guys

Im need to do some work on 2 x Z22SE engines

Both i need to do the timing and balance chains and 1 i need to reco the head.

Im about to buy the chain kits here but don't know where i can get the gaskets?? or dont i need to replace them on the timing chain covers?

also i was after a Head gasket kit or a compete engine kit for the Z22SE have been looking on ebay but can't see to find a FULL KIT only head kits

any help appreciated

you would be advised to get a spare lower chain cover gasket, they can split during removal. About £20 each.

I would advise to just buy just a head gasket unless you plan on stripping down the head. About £45 each.

There are few gaskets on a z22se engine, the sump and lower craddle use sealant (no gasket), then there is only the front and rear crank seals, head gasket, valve stem seals, inlet gasket set and cam cover gaskets (they are both rubber and can be reused) and lastly the metal exhaust gasket and egr gasket.

On 1 car im just doing the timing chains so all i need is the lower cain gasket?? where do i buy them from?

on the other car im stripping the head off and also doing the timing so i guess i will need a head gasket kit as well as the lower timing chain gasket.

can someone point me where is the best place to buy these?

autovaux can supply the lower timing cover gasket or a local vauxhall dealer :thumbup:
