Vectra B Steering Issues

HELP!!

I have a problem with the power steering on my car. The fluid seems to be going somewhere, but damned if I can see a leak!! anyone else have a similar problem?

Check steering rack bellows, a seal may have gone. Undo bellows and if fluid runs out, theres your problem :o

also check the Banjo copper washers, they are a known problem on the B

I have removed the bellows and they are as dry as a bone inside. The rack arms still have the manufacturer grease on them and seem to be fine. There doesnt appear to be any obvious leaks from the pipes, that said, where are the banjos with the copper washers that folk talk about? the pipe that goes into the pump actually uses little rubber o rings, which I have replaced.

Though with the car sitting idleing I noticed the fluid was rising in the reservoir? Pump fubar'd?

Fluid will rise to max mark as fluid warms up

Fluid will rise to max mark as fluid warms up

Yea I realise that,but I guess I should have stated that the fluid level rise's till it spews out, but I think I have realised that its because I was filling it with the car running rather than with the engine stopped.

But I have recently spotted that the main high pressure line from the pump to the rack is saturated, which suggests it has failed somewhere 🙁
