simon_sri ok jumped in the car this morning and the batt light stayed on am i right in thinking that the alternator is knackered? how hard a job is it to change on the vectra 2.2? thanks
MikeS need to get volt meter on battery should be around 12v when the engine is off with the engine on & cold the battery should be reading around 13.5v as engine warms up it draws less power from the battery thus the alternator reduces charge
simon_sri i have a batt gauge in the car thats been saying between 13 and 14 when running but today when the batt light came on it was saying around 11 volts so i have spent the afternoon changing the alternator, now its back upto around 14 ish
