Bad Engine Rattle vectra 2.2

Hello everyone
have a 2006 vectra 2.2sri direct
29000 miles

have had a mayo problem in one of the breather pipes and on the oil filler cap
the mayo on the filler cap has dissapeared after a good run to skegness
and i cleaned out the breather pipe a couple of days ago .( the mayo problem was hopefully because the guy before me never went very far in it )
but
this morning i started the car from cold and the engine was rattling like crazy ,took a good 5 mins to go silent ....

could this be more mayo in the tappets ?
could it be chain/s or tensioner ?
do i need to change oil and flush the system ?

car was last serviced in jan this year at VX

getting worried that it could be the chain ,even though the sound was more from the rocker cover than the timing end

any help would be greatly appriciated 😃

Difficult to diagnose without hearing it.
1st take off the Auxilliary drive belt and start the engine briefly to see what happens. If the noise goes away then it is a problem with either your belt tensioner or one of the ancillaries run off the belt. If it stays then you need to check the chain.
