few things done today inc EGR cheater

egr cheater fitted, no probs there so thanks to who ever came up with that very simple idea!

changed the oil, which took only 25mins!! not like last time when i broke the actuator on the charger trying to get the oil filter out.managed to find a space inside for the cap to sit whilst i took the old filter out, and it came out easy...how weird is that!

also fitted the extension piece to the exhaust sensor so hopefully no more code 420!!! we shall see!!!

between the main radiator and the charger.side ways so the plastic on the old filter squashed down as you pulled it through

Its a bloody nightmare Scott. My arms and hands were scratched to buggery last time I done it. I went down the back of the rad to get out and back up again to refit.

I'll try Pauls way this time.

not sure how simlar yours is to mine, being first generation its a bit of a mess in there, but i took the top nut off and moved it to the left and down.it doesnt fall through so its ok.
then i turned the filter on its side and sqaushed one end flatish, pulled it through, then spun it to bring the other end out the same.
it was certainly cheaper for me this way lol

no it went through ok.
i squashed the old one as it didnt matter.when i say squashed, it was just pushed in a bit, not enough to distort it.
but the new one went back just fine mate

the problem you guys have on a vec is the power steering pump is in the way 🙁

On the vx220 the oil filter is accessed from behind the sc, but it's still tight.

just ordered one of those spacers for my rear lambda sensor off ebay, fingers crossed!
