Oil leak - at timing chain end

Hi guys, need help help/advice. Oil leak at timing chain end verified by MOT tester looking under car. Assumed to be some kind of gasket/seal at timing chain cover but on speaking to Main Dealer Parts dept no such gasket/seal for said timing chain cover or balance shaft (2nd chain below timing chain). Help please. 🙁

There is a gasket for the timing chain cover and also a crankshaft oil seal where the crankshaft pulley sits, could be either of those? I'd say take them off and have a look but it's a lot of work

Part numbers,

Crank Seal = 90571925

Timing Cover Gasket = 24435052

Thanks guys, not doubting you but appears difference of opinion, VX parts dept claim there not be gasket/seal for Timing chain cover which I was surprised at.
Would this gasket be for the main (upper) timing chain or the cover for the balance chain (lower chain) ?

That part# is from my receipt for a timing chain kit that I had fitted. How can they not sell a gasket that goes between 2 mating faces? Have you quoted this part# to them?

As john says quote them the part number. I have fiited loads of the gaskets so its definatly there. It also acts as the gasket/seal between the oil pump ways and the block.

I agree with you guys, one would expect there to be a seal between two surfaces especially where liquids are involved. Have not been back to dealers yet. Am about to show car to mechanic to look at, someone from this forum can help me out. Am in Ilford (East London / West Essex border).

oil leaks from th lower timing cover/oil pump can be three things;

1 - crank seal
2 - cover/oil pump gasket
3 - water pump access cover seal
