I have not got the car back on the road after 6 months winter hibernation, now it runs beautifully and mechanically is the following spec :-
Standard 2.2 Engine
K&N filter in de-restricted box
Vectra C intake Pipe
Courtenay Stage 1 Re-map
Cat Back 2.5" Turbo Milltek Exhaust System
Polished and modified Throttle Body
No pre-cat
Full Tank of V-Power
I have re-set the ECU and did the usual 30 mile drive. Now it for sure feels quicker than it did before it cam off the road in the autumn last year. But as it was all done whilst the car was off the road, I have not got a clue which modification has made the most difference, but all together it drives really well.
Now, supercharging is an option, but this could be as much as 12/18 months away, if at all.
So I know N/A tuning can be expensive, I know power figures are good for pub talk, but I would be interested to hear what you think I am up to so far.
ALthough supercharging would be the ultimate, I really have a lust for building a really decent N/A engine.
I really could do with your opinions on where I am now and where I could be with the addition of decent cams and an exhaust manifold. Then maybe a new polished and ported head?
